The Unpredictable

February 18, 2026 (Wednesday)

Vancouver decided to snow. It was not heavy or dramatic. Just light flurries drifting through the air, enough to slow people down and make the sidewalks slick. The sky was a flat grey, and the city felt quieter. Everyone seemed slightly more cautious, adjusting their pace without fully realizing it. By 2pm, the Sun was out. The clouds cleared as if the morning had been an exaggeration. The light reflected off buildings and puddles, and people shed their extra layers. Conversations felt easier. The shift was subtle but noticeable. Same city. Same day. Completely different atmosphere. There is something about Vancouver’s unpredictability that feels familiar. The way conditions can change within hours mirrors how quickly our internal landscape can shift. A slow, heavy start does not define the rest of the day. A moment of uncertainty does not determine the outcome. Growth often looks like this. Not a dramatic transformation, but a quiet transition. A reminder that how things begin is not always how they end. Sometimes it is simply about staying steady through the flurries and trusting that clarity can return. February 18 was not extraordinary. It was just snow in the morning and sun in the afternoon. But in a community that encourages us to live fully every day, perhaps that is enough. Showing up through unpredictability. Adapting without losing direction. Continuing forward even when the forecast changes.
